Butter London Fiver

Butter London’s Spring 2013 Sweetie Shop collection is out! While the colors aren’t terribly unique, they fit the spring season and are incredibly pretty and charming. Here’s the description from the line (from Temptalia):

Straight from the catwalks, the inspiration for the Sping/Summer 2013 collection emerged from the charming colours and silhouettes of the 50’s-inspired femme fatale. Shades influenced by the soft pastels of cotton candy, milkshakes and macaroons enhance the playful feminine edge. A brilliant sherbet, luxe lemon and peppy violet are paired with an icy mint, rich candy pink and creamy khaki for a statement that’s sweet but chic.

What’s that? Inspired by the 50’s? Yes, I’ll take that! Of course, I adore pastels so this collection is right up my alley. Anyway, the first shade I have to show you is Fiver, a mint green shade.

Fiver is an amazing polish; a little streaky on the first coat as these colors tend to be, but on the second it is completely opaque with a smooth finish. This polish is very easy to apply. I feel like this is even an improved formula from my other BL polishes.

I’m going to be comparing this to some similar shades soon, most notably Essie’s Mint Candy Apple, just to see if they are dupes. πŸ™‚
