Manicure Spam 4

sequins1

Hey Everyone! I had to reformat my memory card and noticed I had a few old manicures on it, so I decided to make this very blue themed manicure spam post! First up is Illamasqua Noble with Revlon Sequins on top. Sequins is a limited edition shade that came out over the holidays last year. It is a dupe for Deborah Lippmann’s Boom Boom Pow. I love this glitter and am glad that I busted it out again. Gold glitters are a favorite of mine, which is funny because there was a time in my life where I hated gold anything.

This photo isn’t the greatest as it is quite dark, but this is Models Own Boobloo with Sally Hansen Ice Pop on top. Ice Pop is really gorgeous as a topper; it is limited edition, comprised of very tiny gold glitters and some shimmer as well. Boobloo is a nice baby blue; the formula is a little thick but not impossible to work with.

Finally, China Glaze Aquadelic topped with Finger Paints Fall of Surprises glitter. This was so much prettier in person since this shot doesn’t capture the sparkle of the glitter! Aquadelic is an amazing polish. It is opaque in ONE coat and it is really bright!

Do you have any glitter top coats I need to know about?

Finger Paints Fall of Surprises

Finger Paints Fall of Surprises is a beautiful rusty autumnal glitter, composed of small and large pieces. It is very dense, so with one application you are likely good to go depending on how you apply your polish. This color basically defines fall and all of the lovely orange shades that accompany it. I decided to layer it over Essie’s Dive Bar.

This is after a couple days of wear; I am so into dark polish with bright glitter right now, and this was definitely fall appropriate! That said, I don’t think Dive Bar is Fall of Surprises’ perfect match, but I still like the combination. Dive Bar is just such a chameleon on its own (sometimes blue, sometimes green).

The application of this glitter is very smooth, and I only needed one layer of top coat (I used Sally Hansen Diamond Flash) to finish it up, and that is not a very thick top coat compared to what I normally use (Nubar Diamont).

I found Fall of Surprises at Sally’s; there’s a similar polish out right now by Orly, but this one is a few bucks cheaper and just as pretty. 🙂

Weekend Polish Haul

Hello! Are you enjoying the holiday weekend? The way my job works I pretty only much get Christmas as an extended holiday, so this is just a regular old working weekend for me, but I’m glad my hubby is home an extra day this week. We spent a night with his family after we both had work weeks from HELL! And yes, I treated myself to some new polish because of that rotten work week!

My man needed some new work pants and asked me to tag along to the mall today, and I stopped at a table outside of Regis full of clearance stuff. They had a small basket of OPI polish that was buy one, get two free! Then we stopped at Sally Beauty so I could get some hair oil and of course I just could not say no to a fall polish display. Anyway, here’s what I picked up!

OPI Pink Flamenco– I have so many pinks, but this one was just so pretty and vibrant I could not resist it!

OPI Jade is the New Black– This has been on my wishlist, so I was happy to pick up this green shade.

OPI Suzi Takes the Wheel– A lovely gray for fall. I don’t have anything quite like this.

Finger Paints Fall of Surprises– This is a gorgeous copper glitter and it is a cheaper alternative for the copper Orly glitter that is currently out. Unfortunately, the cashier said, “This is so pretty! It looks like Halloween!” I do not like Halloween whatsoever, but hey, she doesn’t know that. 🙂

Orly Ingenue– This was clearly a hit at my Sally Beauty, because it was the only bottle left! This is from last year’s holiday collection, I believe.

Revlon Radiant– Just adding some glitter to my pile with this one; still glitter crazy right now!

Nicole by OPI Rainbow in the S-Kylie– Another Kardashian color, this one is a dupe for OPI Rainbow Connection, which I do not have and adore!

Do you have any of these colors? I’m not sure which one to use first!
