February Polish Favorites!

polishfave

I really wanted to get back to doing favorites here, so I thought why not start? Of course all of my favorites are appropriately in the red and pink spectrum of colors for February; how perfect for Valentine’s Day!

OPI Kiss Me, I’m Brazilian– Vibrant pink creme. I just posted about this one. 🙂

OPI Live.Love.Carnaval– Another one I recently reviewed. This one is on my toes right now. Love these vibrant Brazil collection shades!

Butter London Stardust– I am OBSESSED with this. Obsessed! It is a beautiful holographic glitter topper that has some serious sparkle! I keep putting it on everything because I just can’t help myself.

MAC Riri Woo– I’m SO happy I got my hands on this. This is a very bright and vibrant red, and the formula is amazing. Review coming soon!

Morgan Taylor Scene Queen

MT

Morgan Taylor Scene Queen is a light gray polish packed full of silver shimmer. If you’re looking for an interesting nail polish to wear in the workplace, this is a great choice!

The formula on this was slightly thick, but nothing impossible to work with. I used two coats for opacity, but I think it might be best with three very thin coats, just to avoid thicker areas.

I love this color and don’t have anything quite like it. I have no idea where to actually buy Morgan Taylor polish in person. I know they sell it at Cosmoprof, but I don’t have a license of any sort, so I can’t buy anything there. I have three Morgan Taylor shades, all of which I purchased online at Amazon. I don’t hear much about this brand, but every once in awhile I find shades that are interesting to me! 🙂

This color is a great choice for all skin tones too! When it comes to neutrals, gray is often underrated.

Sparkling Spring Manicure

spring11

I have cabin fever, big time, so I’ve been gravitating toward colors that are reminiscent of spring flowers, like this manicure! I wish the lighting had been better for this, but the sun is rarely out, and this is the best natural light I had at the time.

The taupe/purple base is NARS Night Rider. It has a ton of silver shimmer and flakies in it; so much that it’s difficult to remove! On top of that, I added Butter London Stardust. This is an amazing silver holographic topper. Finally, the accent nail is Zoya’s Pixie Dust polish in Vespa. The result was a very spring oriented manicure that was SO sparkly!

My favorite polish of the three is probably Stardust. I definitely recommend checking it out in person!

OPI Kiss Me, I’m Brazilian

BZ11

I tried to avoid this pink polish, really, I did! But let’s face it- Pink is my kryptonite! Kiss Me, I’m Brazilian is a classic pink creme from OPI’s Brazil collection. It’s not pastel, but it’s not quite neon; it’s just the right balance of brightness.

The formula on this is good; two coats and it is opaque. I rarely have a problem with OPI’s formulas, especially their creme polishes.

I think this shade will be perfect for my toes this spring and summer! What are your Brazil picks?

Vibrance Vitamins Are Helping My Nails!

vitamin*Product sent for review

I’m always looking for new ways to keep my nails strong and healthy, and ways for them to grow faster. I struggle with weak nails from biting them for so long. It has been two years since I stopped, but they aren’t where I want them to be.

In December, I received a bottle of EU Naturals Vibrance Vitamins for healthy hair. I’ve been incorporating these into my vitamin regiment, and they have really made a difference in my nails, which is where I found the biggest changes! While my hair is softer, I can’t say that it is much longer, since it was already long in the first place, but I’m thrilled with how fast my nails have been growing. I had a couple of bad breaks recently, and instead of taking WEEKS to show any growth, they were showing decent growth within a week.

I can’t say that everyone will have the same results, but I’m really pleased with the outcome!

You can find these vitamins on Amazon, and they have also given me a coupon code for 15% off that you can use: EUN15OFF.

Do you take any vitamins for your hair or nails?

Sinful Colors Treasure Chest

TC11

I have another summery polish today: Sinful Colors Treasure Chest. My photos aren’t doing this polish justice at all, because there are visible flecks of gold in this color that I couldn’t pick up on camera.

Treasure Chest is classic turquoise with gold shimmer, and it is opaque in just ONE coat! This is a textured polish, so it dries really quickly. If you do decide to wear two coats, make sure they are both thin, because this has a thicker texture. I really love this polish because it has so many great qualities, and the color is quite unique with the gold.

Hopefully Sinful Colors will release this color again in the summer, though it could probably be found on eBay and other online retailers.

OPI Live.Love.Carnaval

BRAZIL

Uh oh, I have a new favorite pink/coral shade in my life: OPI Live.Love.Carnaval from the new Brazil collection! This collection needs to be seen in person. It is so gorgeous, and pictures online don’t compare to these shades in real life!

Live.Love.Carnaval is a vibrant coral. It almost appears to be on the verge of neon in some lighting, but it is a cream finish. The application is amazing! This is fully opaque in two coats, and the thickness is just right. OPI always hits it out of the park with consistency in my humble opinion.

I know this color is going to be a huge favorite for me, and I see myself wearing it A LOT in the next few months! If you love pink, I definitely recommend this one. In some photos online it really leans red, so I recommend checking it out in person if you can. I love this color so much that I was anxiously waving my hands around to show my husband when he got home from work. 🙂 Definitely a winner!

Colorful Yellow, Blue, and Glitter Manicure

yellow

Hello! I know it has been awhile (A whole week)…it’s probably bugging me more than anyone reading this blog, but I’ve been so busy having three jobs and everything else life brings. My nails haven’t been looking very nice either since my hands are SO dry! Anyway, since I’ve been in the mood for brights due to it being gray outside constantly, I decided to use a few different shades for this manicure!

The blue is Tiffany Case from the OPI Bond Girls collection. The yellow is Lemon Shark from Sally Hansen Triple Shine, and the other glitter is Sinful Colors Pride. I was impressed with how Lemon Shark applied since it is a yellow, which tend to be notoriously streaky. I only used two coats and had no problems with it.

New Milani Polishes Mini-Haul!

M1

Last week I stopped to grab some lunch at the grocery store after my run at the gym, and noticed that the beauty aisle had a TON of new Milani stuff, including new nail polishes! I’ve seen a few glitters on Instagram, but was really surprised at how unique they are in person. They are gorgeous! I can’t wait to layer these with some pastels. 🙂 Here are the shades I picked up!

m4

Sugar High: This is blue, lime green, peach, pink, and probably some other shades- a mix of matte and some sparkly glitter. This glitter is very small so it might be able to be used on its own, but I haven’t tested that out yet.

m3

Sugar Burst: This is a pink princess snowstorm in a bottle. It really does look like “flurries”. It has some bar glitter in it, but for pastel pink, I can put my dislike of bar glitter aside. 🙂

M2

Sugar Rush: I think this one is my favorite! Peach, green, and white matte glitter with some silver holo thrown in for good measure. I adore this one because it is so unique!

M5

Here’s one more shot in different lighting. I LOVE these! Milani is cruelty free, made in the USA, and each bottle is about $4.50 depending on where you shop.

What do you think of these shades?

Also- SORRY for the awful photo placement…I need to pick a new theme, because I have no control over the photos! 🙂

OPI Over & Over A Gwen

opi

Over & Over A Gwen is the signature red that came out with the recent Gwen Stefani OPI collection. This polish is actually a little more than the regular OPI bottles, because it comes in a chic red box with some nail art elements by Swarovski, including the gold bar I used on my ring finger.

This is just classic candy apple red, right here. If you love red, you will probably love this one! The formula is fantastic. I used two coats for opacity and it is the perfect thickness; not too thin or thick. It is a blue-based red, so it really pops!

Did you pick up anything from this collection?
