Trout Pout + Sparkle Manicure

TroutPout

You may know already that Butter London Trout Pout is my favorite polish of all time. It’s just perfect! 🙂 I love wearing it year round, but especially in spring and summer. I decided to pair it here with Revlon Sequins and a light layer of Butter London The 444, which is a glittery champagne polish.

Sequins is a limited edition shade, but it is similar to Deborah Lippmann’s Boom Boom Pow. It is a gold glitter, which doesn’t seem very unique, but the way the glitter is laid out makes it special, in my opinion. 🙂 I wish Revlon would bring this one back!

What is your favorite color to wear in the spring?

Impress Nails Short Length Shimmer Nails

impress

I love Impress manicures! They are so easy to use, come in a lot of great designs, and I like that you can get the “short” length. I don’t find them that short, but my nails are so petite that I have to get that length. This set is called “Shimmer” and they are so pretty! I couldn’t stop looking at my nails when I wore these.

They are light peach with holographic glitter. They claim to last a week, and I’ve had luck with this MOSTLY – My only complaint is that sometimes one nail will come off. Even though there are 24 nails in each pack, if I lose a pinky nail, I’m done for, because my nails are soooo small. I think they need to make these in child size so they fit me. 😉 The little nail cleaning pad that comes with the set definitely helps for longevity too, so don’t forget that step!

This is a great set for anything that needs to be neutral, especially weddings since it is that time of year.

Have you tried these nails? What do you think of them? I wish my real nails were this big! 🙂

OPI Let’s Do Anything We Want!

muppets11

OPI Let’s Do Anything We Want! is from the Muppets Most Wanted collection. I’m not sure what I was expecting from this collection, but I thought it would be better somehow. When I heard about it, I expected to want every shade, but that was definitely not the case. This is OPI’s Soft Shades collection for the year, and last year was Oz (which was amazing).

Let’s Do Anything We Want! is a mix of small pink glitter with white square glitter. I layered it over Essie’s Mint Candy Apple. This is just one coat, so the payoff is really good!

I think this is really pretty, but I haven’t found that magical combination to layer it with just yet. 🙂

Essie Hors D’oeuvres

essie11

Essie Hors D’oeuvres- run out and get this polish if you like sparkly things. No, seriously! I adore this polish so much, and it is so unique! It is described as “a delightful confection of platinum gold with a touch of iridescent silver glitter.” This is an accurate description; it definitely has a “white gold” feel to it.

The sparkle and shine of this polish is unbelievable. I’m sure some may find it tacky, but I love how it is bright and almost looks like tinfoil. I layered it here over OPI Haven’t the Foggiest, which is a seriously amazing shade in itself. This shade was from the 2013 holiday collection, which seemed to be pretty hit or miss, but I loved it. 🙂

Hors D’oeuvres is a fantastic layering shade and I definitely recommend it!

Spring Polish Haul!

haul1

Hello! What spring polish collections have been catching your eye? I haven’t actually purchased any polish for awhile, and then I was out and about and saw a bunch of new collections! Here’s what I picked up.

CoverGirl has a new collection out where Katy Perry is the spokeswoman. It contains a beautiful metallic rose shade called “Being Blonde.” I also saw this really unique polish in the Sally Hansen Triple Shine collection called “Sparktacular.” It’s orange and teal micro-glitter mixed together. I definitely don’t have anything like that!

Sinful Colors has a few new displays with beautiful summer polishes! I especially loved the “Simmer Down” display. I picked up the following from Rite Aid:

Hot Chili– Metallic red with shimmer and some larger red glitters
Coral Reef– Hot coral cream with blue shimmer
Lively in Lilac– I can’t believe I got this color, but it looked unique. It’s a deep plum/blurple jelly base with orange glitter.
Mint Tropics– Yet another minty green….

China Glaze was buy two, get one free at Sally Beauty Supply, and I can never pass that up, especially when there are new GLITTERS from the Surprise! collection. I picked up two, plus one neon from previous collection:

I’m a Go Glitter– Light blue, fuchsia, and minty green glitter
Don’t Be a Flake– Black, turquoise, and pink glitter
Rose Among Thorns– Hot neon pink/coral

I definitely want to get some of the new Butter London Brights! shades too, but haven’t just yet. Which polishes have you picked up lately?
