Models Own Aqua Violet

One of my friends is a nanny, and she had been traveling all over the world with “her” baby’s family. She went to London and was so kind to pick up this nail polish for me: Models Own Aqua Violet! This is from the Beetlejuice collection of duochromes. Due to the lighting I did not have the best luck capturing the color shift here, and it is also quite subtle. Like the name implies, it is a blue to violet color shift.

This shade is quite sheer on the first coat, but in three you’re good to go. I also could not help myself and added some more sparkle to the mix with OPI’s Crown Me Already. 🙂

I think this is a great color and see myself wearing it a lot this fall and winter!

Manicure Spam 4

Hey Everyone! I had to reformat my memory card and noticed I had a few old manicures on it, so I decided to make this very blue themed manicure spam post! First up is Illamasqua Noble with Revlon Sequins on top. Sequins is a limited edition shade that came out over the holidays last year. It is a dupe for Deborah Lippmann’s Boom Boom Pow. I love this glitter and am glad that I busted it out again. Gold glitters are a favorite of mine, which is funny because there was a time in my life where I hated gold anything.

This photo isn’t the greatest as it is quite dark, but this is Models Own Boobloo with Sally Hansen Ice Pop on top. Ice Pop is really gorgeous as a topper; it is limited edition, comprised of very tiny gold glitters and some shimmer as well. Boobloo is a nice baby blue; the formula is a little thick but not impossible to work with.

Finally, China Glaze Aquadelic topped with Finger Paints Fall of Surprises glitter. This was so much prettier in person since this shot doesn’t capture the sparkle of the glitter! Aquadelic is an amazing polish. It is opaque in ONE coat and it is really bright!

Models Own Ibiza Mix

Hello! I have an awesome glitter to show you today. I LOVE this glitter. It is one of the prettier and more unique mixes of glitter that I have seen. Ibiza Mix is from the Models Own Hed Kandi collection. Hed Kandi is a UK based record label.

This glitter contains a lot of lighter colors, like gold, pink, blue, and orange. The glitter is a mix of small and large round glitter. I like how well this applies. I can’t stand having to fish out glitter, and you definitely don’t need to do that with this one! I layered Ibiza Mix over Essie Maximillian Strasse-Her.

I wish we had Models Own in the US! Bless the good ol’ internet for making things easier, anyway. These Models Own polishes caught my eye on Facebook. I really like the glitters and the orange polish on the left! Swatches are popping up already, including on Smooch, a UK beauty blog.
