OPI Where Did Suzi’s Man-go?

mango

Where Did Suzi’s Man-Go? is, as you would expect, light mango orange. This shade is from the Brazil collection that came out in summer 2014. Lately I have been wearing orange quite a bit, and these light shades that border creamsicle are my favorite types.

The formula on this is very smooth, and it is opaque in two coats.

I definitely recommend this color if you’re looking for a vibrant orange color with a touch of pastel to it. 🙂 It is a fantastic polish for spring and summer. This would especially look great on those with medium to dark skin tones, but us paler ladies can still rock it too. 🙂

Fall Nail Haul

haul1

I haven’t been purchasing much polish lately (a good thing), but there are definitely some shades that caught my eye in the last couple months. Above are all of the polishes I’ve purchased from I believe July until now.

Revlon Confident is a Gucci Westman collaboration that looks just like ruby slippers. It has red hex glitter, VERY small bar glitters, and some small circle glitters in a red jelly base. It is surprisingly opaque.

Sinful Colors Cauldron Couture is a polish that I am pretty disappointed with. It doesn’t have the best coverage and needs to be built up. It is a black and green glitter with a clear base, but it doesn’t build very well.

Sinful Colors Charmed is one that I passed up a few times, but I knew I HAD to have it eventually because it is just so pretty! It is a very sparkly pink lavender shimmer.

haul2OPI With a Nice Finnish, LAC My Mani?, Cauldron Couture, Confident, Starry Night, Charmed, Damone Roberts 1968

Wet ‘n’ Wild LAC -My Mani? is a matte creamy beige polish. I just love these types of colors and want to see how the matte WnW formula compares to the others in the line.

Sinful Colors Starry Night is a shade I saw on Instagram and fell in love with. It has less color than Butter London The Black Night, making it seem more like an actual starry night. 🙂 This one is surprisingly opaque, too!

OPI With a Nice Finnish– OF COURSE I had to get this, since I have some Finnish heritage! It’s a beautiful color too- a nice bronzey gold, just like a Finnish sauna! 🙂

OPI Damone Roberts 1968– I was so unsure about this polish, being that it is double the price of other OPI polishes, but I didn’t want to miss out on it forever. I’m going to be doing a comparison post with this color, so stay tuned for that! 🙂

Finally, I ordered a sheet of Jamberry nail appliques since my sister-in-law was having a Jamberry party. I’ve never tried these before, but hear great things about them. I’m a little worried because my nail beds are so small. I even considered getting the child size Jamberry sheets! My best friend is having a Jamberry party right now, so I’m going to get the application kit and hope that helps with my teeny-tiny nails.

OH! One more exciting nail polish related item: I FINALLY got a Helmer in August! What a handy piece of storage. I’m very happy with that purchase and wish I had gotten one a long time ago!

🙂

OPI A Roll in the Hague

ROLL11

Where OH WHERE does the time go?? I don’t know about you, but I’m having a super busy summer. Fun of course, but busy! For the last five weekends or so, I’ve been out of town. I feel like I get home and have to pack up my bag to leave again! 🙂 Anyway, onto the polish!

OPI A Roll in the Hague is a polish I broke out to wear at a Detroit Tigers game last month. It’s a true, classic orange. The formula was a little thin, but still opaque in two coats. I rarely have trouble with OPI polish and find it is the best wearing polish brand on my nails! 🙂

OPI Let’s Do Anything We Want!

muppets11

OPI Let’s Do Anything We Want! is from the Muppets Most Wanted collection. I’m not sure what I was expecting from this collection, but I thought it would be better somehow. When I heard about it, I expected to want every shade, but that was definitely not the case. This is OPI’s Soft Shades collection for the year, and last year was Oz (which was amazing).

Let’s Do Anything We Want! is a mix of small pink glitter with white square glitter. I layered it over Essie’s Mint Candy Apple. This is just one coat, so the payoff is really good!

I think this is really pretty, but I haven’t found that magical combination to layer it with just yet. 🙂

April Polish & Nail Care Favorites!

fave

April went by SO fast! I can’t believe it’s the end of the month. I know everyone says that, but spring is seriously FLYING by! Here are my April nail care and polish favorites!

Butter London Trout Pout– AKA my favorite polish of all time! I love this color so much!!

imPRESS Press-On Manicures– I love these nails. They stay on forever and they look so polished and chic. If only my real nails looked this good! 🙂

OPI Brazil Beach Sandies– I love this little set. The colors really pop. If only they were available in full-sizes!

Golden Retriever Nail File– It’s golden retrievers. Do I REALLY need to explain this? Of course not.

Bath and Body Works Hawaiian Sun Hand Cream– This hand cream smells amazing! It is beach in a hand cream. I think I need a back up…

Josie Maran Whipped Argan Oil Hand Cream– I’m not too keen on the scent of this, but I love the texture. It smells good and everything, but it’s just not amazing. It’s nice and lightweight, and doesn’t make me feel greasy.

OPI I Just Can’t Cope-Acabana

OPI11

Yet another OPI Brazil collection shade, I know…I just can’t get enough of these brights! I Just Can’t Cope-Acabana is probably the greatest yellow polish I have EVER used! It is seriously amazing! It is vibrant, cheery, and the formula is incredible too.

I used just two coats for opacity, which is practically unheard of for yellow shades, which tend to be notoriously streaky. This was not the case at all with this polish. It went on perfectly and I could not stop staring at my nails while I had this on. I will definitely be getting A LOT of use out of this in the upcoming months, especially on my toes!

This might be my number one favorite yellow. It isn’t banana, traffic stop, or bus yellow. This is just beautiful, sunny yellow. Definitely a must have!

February Polish Favorites!

polishfave

I really wanted to get back to doing favorites here, so I thought why not start? Of course all of my favorites are appropriately in the red and pink spectrum of colors for February; how perfect for Valentine’s Day!

OPI Kiss Me, I’m Brazilian– Vibrant pink creme. I just posted about this one. 🙂

OPI Live.Love.Carnaval– Another one I recently reviewed. This one is on my toes right now. Love these vibrant Brazil collection shades!

Butter London Stardust– I am OBSESSED with this. Obsessed! It is a beautiful holographic glitter topper that has some serious sparkle! I keep putting it on everything because I just can’t help myself.

MAC Riri Woo– I’m SO happy I got my hands on this. This is a very bright and vibrant red, and the formula is amazing. Review coming soon!

OPI Kiss Me, I’m Brazilian

BZ11

I tried to avoid this pink polish, really, I did! But let’s face it- Pink is my kryptonite! Kiss Me, I’m Brazilian is a classic pink creme from OPI’s Brazil collection. It’s not pastel, but it’s not quite neon; it’s just the right balance of brightness.

The formula on this is good; two coats and it is opaque. I rarely have a problem with OPI’s formulas, especially their creme polishes.

I think this shade will be perfect for my toes this spring and summer! What are your Brazil picks?

OPI Live.Love.Carnaval

BRAZIL

Uh oh, I have a new favorite pink/coral shade in my life: OPI Live.Love.Carnaval from the new Brazil collection! This collection needs to be seen in person. It is so gorgeous, and pictures online don’t compare to these shades in real life!

Live.Love.Carnaval is a vibrant coral. It almost appears to be on the verge of neon in some lighting, but it is a cream finish. The application is amazing! This is fully opaque in two coats, and the thickness is just right. OPI always hits it out of the park with consistency in my humble opinion.

I know this color is going to be a huge favorite for me, and I see myself wearing it A LOT in the next few months! If you love pink, I definitely recommend this one. In some photos online it really leans red, so I recommend checking it out in person if you can. I love this color so much that I was anxiously waving my hands around to show my husband when he got home from work. 🙂 Definitely a winner!

Black and Gold Manicure with OPI 4 in the Morning

opi11

The new Gwen Stefani and OPI collaboration has been out for some time now. I waited to see some swatches before making my picks, and I really loved 4 in the Morning! This polish is a dark charcoal shade with a satin finish; I have top coat on in these photos, but the satin finish looks like a soft leather couch or bag. It’s very pretty!

I used top coat because I added some gold glitter with Sephora by OPI The Golden Age. I LOVE this glitter so much! They aren’t sold at Sephora anymore, but they are popping up at discount shops like Big Lots. If you see it, I highly recommend this glitter.

4 in the Morning has an amazing formula. It is almost opaque in one coat, but I used two.

Did you get anything from the Gwen Stefani collection? I thought the colors would be a little more out there since Gwen is so fun with her style, but I really like this color.
